Count the teeth on the pulleys if you are really not sure. Count how many there are on the diffs and divide that by how many are on the center pulleys.

The RDX is an excellent chassis. Is it overkill for VTA? Not really. The original RDX is at least 5 or 6 years old now, and has every feature you'd need for VTA.
The RDX is still competitive. I race my RDX in stock sedan and it beats XRAY '11 spec, Tamiya TRF 415/416's, its all the car you'll need. They are very durable as well.

I have to add a little bit (about 14g) to the battery side. It really depends on your electronics layout and battery. If you have a really lightweight battery, you'll need more weight. I positioned my reciever on the battery side to offset some of the weight. Best way to find out is to balance your car along its centerline and see which way it tips over too, the heavy side will fall and you can add weight or move electronics to help your left to right balance. Its not too hard to get one down to 1420 grams and have really good L/R balance, just takes some time

I working on dusting off my RDX and bringing it back to life. Do any of you guys know if any gear diffs will drop into the mighty RDX?
