Default Major Engine Problem

Engine has some tiny copper pieces in it and ground up of some of the piston. Engine wouldnt rev up very high at all.

For sure i know i need to replace teh piston, what about the rest of the engine components?

What else do you think i need to replace?

And do i need to break in the new piston and sleeve too?

Is O'donnell RACING fuel too low in oil content to break it in?

Thanks in advance...

It's most likely the brass bushing of your conrod that gave up.

basically got to check everything:
Bearings
Crankpin
Sleeve
Conrod

Wow. Is that due to just wear and tear? or is it from putting a hot glow plug in instead of a medium.

(Its a .21 BB, dont ask why we did that hahahah)

it depends what engine it is - the OS VZB uses the OS P3 plug, and thats the hottest plug available.
Some like it colder, others dont.
But from what you said, it does sound like the bushing in the rod gave out.
Give the engine a look through, maybe the piston and sleeve are still fine and all you need is a new rod.

like Stefan said, check every thing internally, the smart thing would be to remove the bearings completely because if you leave them in some little piece may stick somewhere behind it and come out later that would suck it happened to me with a 250 honda bike drop a little piece of needle bearing in there put the new piston and sure enough it lodge in the piston 3 minutes after starting it up.

the rear bearing is crusial to be checked. i have seen several motor damages
from a rear bearing going bad and bearing balls going walks inside the engine...
So i would suggest check if all bearing balls are inside the bearing and also check if it can spin freely. It would be good to remove it and check it precisely.

you need to break the eingine down and replace the con rod, possibly the piston and cylinder check the crank pin and make sure no other components were damaged then clean it, dip it and rebuild it.

i rebuild engines for $40.00 + parts, i break them in I also do engine mods, polish, porting, balancing, etc.

Your fuel and plug is not the problem but your needle settings for your air fuel mixture when breaking in is most likely the cause. You probably had it too lean which is why the engine didn't get enough lubrication.

Anytime you rebuild a motor with new parts you have to break in all over again. In your case, you're replacing a piston, sleeve and rod. Thats practically a whole new engine.
