S411 DELIVERY DATE
Well we have a delivery date for the s411. Close to the end of April it seems...a exact date will be advised the closer we get.
The other good news is a RRP of AUD$549.00 which places this kit in good standing against other top 1/10 tourers on the market right now.
This kit comes standard with alloy shocks and a gear diff...no need to upgrade!
Forward orders are also being accepted to book your car from the first stock order.
Cheers

Hello everyone,
It's good to see and hear people talking about the new car and anticipating its release.
In the UK, it is envisaged that a small team of experienced and competent drivers will run the car at major events such as the BRCA nationals, BTCC etc. There will be no mass sprawl of Serpent team drivers in the pits; we are looking to have a close-knit team of a handful of drivers who can support privateers running the car at the events we attend, while also offering backup and advice away from the track on internet forums and via email correspondance.
The team will be spearheaded by myself and Chris Kerswell; we will both race in the modified class. Chris has run the S120L 1/12th scale car with factory support over the winter here in the UK, while I'm a new addition to the Serpent UK team. We are both experienced and knowledgable racers who have competed at national level for many years. We are both looking forward to helping with the promotion and development of the car in the future.
Serpent UK are looking for a handful of drivers who plan to race in the 10.5 and 13.5 classes at national and regional events, so please get in contact with me if you think you fit the bill. You should be a competent driver capable of making the top-20 at a BRCA national event, but also have the necessary technical understanding to be an asset to the team and the development of the car. In addition you'll also need to fit in with the existing team members and be a team player.
With regard to release dates; Chris and I are expecting to have cars in our hands towards the end of April, after which we'll give them a shakedown before showcasing them at big events over the summer. This may or may not happen before the first BRCA national, but we remain hopeful that it will. The first batch of production kits is nearing completion, and so far the feedback from a mould and parts quality perspective has been positive. You can expect the same level of Serpent quality that is displayed with the other cars in their product line.
It is my understanding that the parts supply issues associated with the S400 were down to a breakdown between Serpent and the supplier of the finished components. This, tied in with the financial uncertainty of the comapny around that time made things very difficult. Rest assured that as a team we will endeavour to ensure that parts supply is not an issue this time round!
Pre-orders for the cars are currently being taken by Elite RC in the UK, so if you want to get your hands on one of the first batch then you'd better move quickly!
In the meantime, if you require any further information about the car or are interested in running for the team as described above, feel free to email me at [email protected]
Thanks!

GETTING CLOSER.
Latest official information re release date will be first week/s of June. I guess the no rush approach to make sure that the whole kit released is 100% spot on in finish and fit.
We have seen in the past when a product is rushed out that there has been some issues come up that do have to be addressed and rectified with the end user having to deal with the down time.
More info as it come through.
Cheers
