I use the Ko Propo 2343, its super smooth and has plenty of speed and torque.
Works great with the Helios as it was designed to do so.
And of course you can always splash out on the PC interface for it aswell.

I use the best non-digital servo there is....Airtronics 94359Z & like it. Fast, strong, consistant (hey! like my lap times)

I've heard more than a few people complain about Hitec. I must be lucky. Even their mid-low end (625mg) servos have worked great for me. Only had one go bad and it was drenched in fuel. Cool thing is... they replaced it.

If you plan on using it in a gas car later, I would stay with 6 volt servos.

Personally, I got good experience with the KO 2123.

Almost every top factory driver runs Airtronics. In the last few years KO Propo has gains some ground but Airtronics is still the most popular brand among pros. Most of the top driver do not use digitals due to the current drain being greater. Most of the guys I know run a 94358, 94357 or 94360.

Are you talking about all types of racing or just nitro? I've always assumed nearly all the pros used digital.

All types. As the sales manager for Schumacher I go to a couple of big races per year and know most of the top racers personally. I cant say about the KO guys but most of the Airtronics drivers run analog. The digital servos really do draw a lot of current and this is a big issue in electric racing...especially Mod Sedan. Analog servos draw a tiny idle current and only draw a lot of amps when they move and drop to idle current when they stop. Digital servos are constantly buzzing and drawing current as they constantly try to hold position.

Digital servos were made primarily for Precision aerobatic R/C planes and helis. If they need more run time they get bigger batteries and the precision is necessary for predictable/repeatable maneuvers.
