Am new the rc world what would be the best car or truck to start with to learn with

Well the first thing you need to ask yourself is do you want an on-road car or an off road car. With an off-road car you will have the ability to drive both on and off road but they are not as fast as on-road cars. An on-road car will limit you to driving on-road but you get higher speeds easier than with an off-road car.

off road and i would like to race when i learn some about the car or truck i get and my price is around 500 bucks

if there are local tracks nearby...drop over and have a look at these 2 categories; fuel or nitro-powered aka the noisy or electric/battery-powered.

then come back with your choice...and other gentlemen aka keyboard warriors will assist you along
