Anyone knows if this engine would be just as fast as the up to date engines like the .12 flash?
It says that the engine's HP is 1.58 and the RPM is 41,200.

The engine is one of the faster ones on the market, and is more than able to compete with motors such as the flash. try not to let the performance stats you see on the engine manufacturers websites be the decider of what you buy as the majority of .12's out there are fast. It's just a matter of who's tuning them. Also the numbers usually aren't accurate...

It is a VERY powerful engine and it pulls hard and does get to those kinds of RPMs
Most engine dont go past the 1HP mark, but now there are engines coming out that do nowadays. The Picco JLR 3 was one of the early engines to go beyond the 1HP mark with the stock version, and it is a hell of a torquey engine!!
I would love to see what the Flash .12, 353 and RB T10RC make stock, would be a nice comparison.

Cool, well I guess it should be fast by looking at the price. $390 at amainhobbies.

Yeah, this little engine RIPS! In fact Ryan used this engine to place second at the 2009 Australian Nats at Moorebank, Syd.
They have a Matched Piston/Sleeve so can take a long time to run in properly. For the money they are hard to beat.
