Congratulations and welcome to the most addicted hobby, next to golf.

Your car seems nice already. But, what radio do you use?

for a good starting out radio, i'd first of all, if you have the $$ go with an FM system rather than an AM. FM is more reliable, and is prone to less glitching, i'd recommend a JR Racing XR3i, an Airtronics MX-3, or a Futaba 3PM. The futaba and airtronics systems can be found on towerhobbies.com, they run about $150 give or take, but the JR's are distributed by horizon hobby, so i'd try stormerhobbies.com for JR stuff, hope this helps!

First of all, welcome to nitro onroad The question that needs to be asked is how much are you willing to spend on this hobby. It seems to me cost isn't too important to you, so i would recommend for a radio the Ko Propo Helios or the Futaba 3PK. These are top of the line radios and will put u back 200-300 bucks, but if cost isn't an issue, go for it. You get what you pay for

Also, unless i missed it you will need a starter box to start your engine. These run 80 to 100 bucks w/ a gell cell 12v batt and will start your mugen powerhouse. I recommend an ofna box, good sturdy quality, or the team magic x5 starter box I have the x5 and it is great, has loads of torque and starts easily. Good luck with rc, you can only get into it once

Well said... Yes, I've tried it once, and now I'm addicted to it.
