If you are looking at a Picco then Might as well buy the Nova Rossi Kangaroo .21 Sydney World Championship engine (21SYDWC) can't go wrong with a proven engine http://kamikazercracing.com/proddeta...ANGAROO21SYDWC

@Sam: that is true, You can't go wrong with a Nova!

@Bobby: Ive been told the P7R is pretty much the same as other 9 porters, but only having 7 ports instead, which is good because less ports=less fuel consumption=more runtime! Along with other factors as well.

The IDM EVO4 = Picco EVO4= Serpent Mega DS4

So your answer is already given if there are IDM's on your track.

Ports does not say a thing, I have outrunned a Mega DS-II with a (modded) Novarossi Basic 3-port engine. The Picco EVO4 is their top onroad engine and must be able to compete with all other top segment engines. If you want to compete with them I would not go for a Kangaroo but for an 35-plus-21 engine.

thx roelof for the info. but i still dont get if the picco and the idm are the same then why is the idm alot more expensive. i alway tought that the picco evo 4 edo modified was the same as the Mega ds4 EM and the IDM evo 4 had been modified even more to make it much faster.

I ran the IDM evo3 and Picco evo3 together last year swapping between races, they are the same engine except for the picco was not modded, but the EDO Moddified should be probably the same as the IDM. As far as the engines lasting, you cannot find better materials that these engines are made from. Both engines looked and measured identical with very little wear to components. Not as fast as a Nova 35 plus, but faster than the Kangaroo, Very compeditive for the price.

Yes, there is a EM modified edition, I have never messured these engines so I can not tell the difference.
Do not forget that IDM and Serpent are names and an extra step in the road of distribution so that is making the price a bit higher.

I have seen Picco EVO4 engines sold for just 150 euro (minimum of 10 pieces), although the price is very interesting I have always doubts with the reliabillity of the Picco engines, I have seen to much.

I always doubted Picco engines also, always ran Nova, until we had the economy issue, thats when I bought a much cheaper Picco. I am still amazed at the quality of the materials inside a Picco. I now run the Picco evo4 buggy engine because of what I seen with the onroad engines. I am a ToolMaker and check timings and dim. of all my engines and others to compare and Mod. Everybody has opinions and that is fine, I do like the Novas and Piccos. Never seen the new OS onroad but would love to.

get a kangaroo tuned edition u cant go wrong if u know how to do a clutch u cant beat these motors. one of our team drivers broke the track record with a kangaroo and makes like 6 min runtime!!
