Default Are we still running Nimh 2x a day

I am not sure when I picked up the habit, but sometime around when NiMh were getting popular the talk was running them twice a day to get more punch on the second run. Lately I have been practicing with a few packs, then run my 2nd best pack 1st and 3rd qual and my best pack 2nd qual and main. I did this even more because even my best packs weren't great. Well, now I have picked up 2 really nice packs and I am wondering if they should serve double duty on race day.

In Stock and 19T its no problem re running packs as long as they cool off all the way before you charge again. You really don't get more punch on the second run with GP cells...they are good every run...lol!

In Mod you beat up the cells so bad you should only run them once a day. If you have to re run I have heard that a 3 hour rest is a good idea between runs. You want to give the cells chemistry time to stabilize.

I guess having a few more packs now I will probably just run them once. I am usually still a little too squirely in my driving the first couple quals anyway to make it worth it.

Yes, thats normal. Thats is also why you dont want to re run if you run Mod.
