What is the parts that braking faster then other and what about belts.
What is the best solution to hide all cables from servos ? Is there any radiobox that possible to adapt for this car ?

Thank you!
Hi,

Congrats with the car, hope you will enjoy it as much as I do

I mount my PRF18 app. 13-15mm distance from the front bumper, for me this works fine, if I increase the distance I do not like the steering feel. But this is my personal experience.

What I general use/change are the pulley´s, belts and bearings (the small two 3x6x2.5 flanged bearings) in the belt tensioner. These items are checked and exchanged when wear are found.

What I have broken when crashing with the car , are basically the front bumper (cap-2080) and front body mount (cap-2079)..

What I can recommend to buy from the option parts are the new flex chassis (cap-2090b), for me this made the car handle much better. I got extra steering in and out of the corner, and in my opinion the car just handled better. I sell it for 94USD and give additional discount so it ends on app. 81USD....

Hope this has helped you a little.... Thanks

Are you talking about radio plate (CAP-2090b) or the WC chassis (CAP-2114WC)???

Has anyone else noticed that the wheel axles seem to have a slightly looser fit with certain brands of wheels/tires compared to other brands of car?

On my old Mugen, all the wheels I used had a very tight fit on the axles, with the Capricorn most wheels I have tried are quite loose and can move around a little when fully seated.

Sorry, yes the new flex radio plate Cap-2090b, all the cars I've sold this year was upgraded with the new WC chassis plate. The kits has been updated so it's standard now...

Yeah, I had the same problem. But you should order the 2064B front hooks, they will fit the Cap F1 wheels better.

Thanks, I actually just got the revised hooks and they are much better. But the problem I was describing earlier was not side to side movement, but rather up and down as if the axle itself is slightly smaller in diameter.

For instance it is much easier to slide wheels on and off as opposed to my old mugen which had a very tight fit.

I got a couple of emails for my 1/8 set-up from this past weekend at the Homestead State Race. My car was pretty good and very consistent to drive. I was able to set the TQ (with the only 25 lap run), set the fastest lap of the weekend with a 16.7 and was leading the Final until I had 2nd gear strip. I had hit a wall earlier and think my motor moved. My car was the fastest and drove really good. I used the newer Protoform R18. It was smooth to drive. The 909 had a little better steering, but not as consistent.

If I did not put something or missed something on the set-up just ask and I will try to get the info.

Thanks,

DJ Apolaro
