depends upon where you run the most and your ability

Asphalt.. get the US spec kit if your track allows one-ways.. definatelly the fastest way around the track

Carpet I'de get the UK kit has diffs.. works good everywhere and if youre a intermediate driver you'de like this the best works good on asphalt too

The carpet kits is carpet only.


If you plan on running both asphalt and carpet get the US kit and order another diff set with it..


Other bits to get would be 4 degree caster blocks (if you order the US Kit it comes with 2 degree), a few pairs of hard A-arms, black spring set. 1.3m pistons (2 pairs) a couple of pairs of plastic steering blocks,.rubberneck bumper. The one tha comes with the kits is a bit whoosie. AE tc3/4 spring perches.these are lower than the stock ones. so you can really slam your car especialliy if you use the silver springs.

Luxury items would be ceramic bearings, silver spring set (for carpet) 64 p 104t spur gears, Aluminum steering blocks., 2 degree rear toi in hub carries and corally assasin weights to make weight at a sanctioned event.. the car build light mine came in 80 grams underweight.


Bodies I've tried that work good is the protoform stratus 3(with the bumps on the hood) , protoform alfa, protoform mazda 6, and cadillac cts.

00166 Standard One-way Kit: one-way, 2 deg caster blocks

00166UK Double Diff Kit: double diffs, 4 deg caster blocks

00167 US Carpet Spec: stiffer topdeck, silver spring set, 4 deg caster blocks

There is only ONE US Spec kit and that is the 00167 which is for Carpet Racing. The Standard kit contains the one-way.

Just choose depending on what you run the most, weather it is asphalt or carpet and then what you like to drive with. If you won't use the one-way ever, then get the UK kit. If you mainly race carpet then get the US Carpet Spec.

Do the 4 degree castor blocks work the best in general? Do any of you RDXers ever use 2 or 6 degree blocks? I'm planning on getting the one-way kit, but it comes with 2 degree.

I'd get some 4's at least Sam. Thats what I've been running indoors most of the time. It's a nice neutral caster setting.

The Carpet Spec kit includes the 2.9mm chassis. ALL KITS now include updated chassis and battery brace. Everything else is optional, and is 3700mah compatible.
