i think this all depends on where you live.....
a page or two back i posted comparisons of the spares prices in the UK & apart from the spur gear the Durango spares are between 20 & 50% (on the fuel tank amongst others!) more expensive!
check for yourself

to be honest i'm pretty happy that there are 2 such great buggys emerging onto the market right now & as always there will be people who will choose one over the other for whatever reasons. thats their choice
either buggy is way more capable than pretty much all of us on here anyway
i've driven THE car & i'm happy that i'm pretty sure i will get better using it & thats what i'll be driving from now on
i've not yet driven the Durango but from what i've heard its a very competent platform with some very neat design touches & i'm sure people who buy them will be happy with them
exciting times for all of us

Bad question to ask on the forums. You're going to get a lot of fan boys chiming in on a subject for which they have zero knowledge. Both cars are JUST coming out right now, so any opinion is pure conjecture at this point. Ignore the last 110 posts. LOL

Not true, as quite a few of the people posting about THE Car on here have actually driven and raced it. Durango I don't know how many drove it.

Well, coming from someone who doesn't own either, and hasn't driven either....
I have plans on trying a new brand soon. The Losi has been great to me, and have no real complaints besides the common complaints that the Losi chassis gets.
I am looking at one of these 2. I am going to give it a few months of real world testing. I'm more than sure both buggies are very capable, and will do very well at club/regional level.
Another thing I want to see is which brand will more local racers run. Thats a big issue for me. Not so much parts availability at LHS. But I like to know there is someone else running the same platform that I am in case I have a question, or need a certain part.

JQ forgot the hitec servo horns. He said that earlier. The savox uses the Futaba spline so the Kit ones should work just fine.
It would be really cool if they all used the same however!
