At the Alabama Manufacturers Shootout I had a guy on either side of me using these STUPID stands. One of them to the right of me stood on the stand and then leaned over the rail the whole race. Every lap coming down the straightaway I had to tell him to stand up straight because all I could see was a transmitter in my face. By the end of the race his ribs were hurting if you know what I mean (from my elbow). I couldn't see to enter pit road because of the guy on my left standing on one. I think if standing on one of these makes you over 6 feet tall then you should not be allowed to use it. Why should my race be ruined because of someones else's preference. As far as the rail goes it is there to keep us from falling off the stand, not to lean on.

Depends on the drivers stand build for me (rail height etc). Also some tracks will have a blind spot where the stool helps. I always set it back about a foot and check with the driver on each side that they can see. If you need to use one you can at least be courteous about it!

This stool really helps when you have to drive standing in pit lane!

I have used an ice chest once. It has a dual purpose. Track had blind spots to which were lessened with my added 18inches in height. And more importantly, cold beer was readily availble after the race!

Sucks that I took second to a guy I loaned my radio case

Honestly, I don't really like them either, but I am only 5'5" and some of those rails are pretty tall. Without one, I can see pit lane unless I am all the way over the rail. Sucks for you tall people I know. LOL

Whats worse is when people with long ass antennas hold their radio, like sideways, and then sway as they're running oval laps. I swear I should have an imprint in my forehead from getting smacked lol.

People with the stools bug me too. For kids, yeah, that makes sense. Some of them can barely see over the railing on the drivers stand. 6' tall adults don't need to stand on them. My eyes shouldn't be at you wiener height

I use a crate at certain tracks only cause where I rest my controller at is where the rail is so i gotta either shrink or get taller and getting taller is alittle easier lol. But when i use a crate I usually stand back a couple inches so i dont P anyone off.

The worst drivers stands for this are the ones built almost over the track surface. Think when building a track, move the stand back or build it long enuff that everyone has more that 18" of room.
