I prefer asphalt but the T3 is crap in low traction conditions so I have been doing a lot of carpet racing lately.

How about indoor asphalt? Best of both worlds?

That works good too but I find racing on asphalt undecover during the day very strange. The tires neger seem to work right which I believe is.due to he track temp/surface temp being around the wrong way. The same track at night is 100 times better

Depends on your tire budget.

RP24 or CS22's, at a pinch Sorex 28's might work.

On cold tarmac you will want tyre warmers and good additive.

I like carpet. I just wish they'd build bigger carpet tracks where I am.

I noticed nobody has voted for concrete. I actually prefer concrete to tarmac in some ways. Tyre wear is lower and the track condition tends to stay more consistent.
