Default Ofna LD3 Pro vs Ofna CD3 Pro RTR

Are there any differences? which one is better for racing? I liked the LD3 Pro b/c it comes with a .12 ofna picco 3 port engine with 1.45 hp at 39,000 rpm. not bad. any comments?

Just checked OFNA's site, looks like the CD3 Pro RTR version does not come with 0.8 gears or Centax

Maybe get the CD3 pro (non RTR), and put your own engine/radio in Atleast you get centax and 0.8 gears. Depends on how much they are selling for I guess.

I just not long ago upgraded to 0.8 gears in my LD3, I like...

oh, sorry. i meant that i couldn't find a place that sold the cd3 yet. maybe the retailers have not gotten them yet. i like the look of that cd3 pro rtr, not a bad little car. but only one thing, i dont know if that engine is very good or not. i saw that it had like .5 hp, thats bogus! or is the engine not too bad with the two speed and tuned pipe?

going from the OFNA website,
CD3 Pro RTR = 3 shoe clutch 1.0 gears

What it means if you want to upgrade to 0.8 gears + Centax is going to cost you this
http://www.nitrohouse.com/options,_ld3_pg_4.htm

the 0.8 gears last a lot better and ratio changes are a lot easier- read here
http://www.ofna.com/LD3options-08.html

Dont know about picco's, never ran them.

NOt sure who has them, but on the engine, the Picco should be around 1.1 HP. The Force (redhead), which I think is on the RTR cars, has the .56 hp.

so do you think that the ld3 pro version with the picco .12 is a good combo? i plan to race in the novice class, so i hope the engine is strong enough. i haven't bought the car by the way.
