Thats a challenge as I havent heard to many places using zero endbell timing...
But now I understand why your running such a low fdr..... try what eric said and go with a smaller dia rotor to get some more top end but you will sacrifice a small amount of punch out of the corners... but then you can tune that with pwm after you get it to the track and lay some times down.....

Just remember not all motors are zero when it says zero on the endbell as there is alot of motors out there have mechanical timing built in then you can adjust endbell timing as well.... so thats why alot of places gave up the whole zero endbell timing unless they give hand out motors or specify what motors to run and make it even that way....

regards
Fordy

If you're running the VTX speedo in blinky, you can try a higher throttle PWM frequency, it gives me a little more top end. Other than that, with no physical or virtual timing all you can do is find the gearing sweet spot for your Orca.

When you turn the PWM up in blinky mode what is the AMP draw difference between each of the steps?

Good question, not sure. The manual does state that higher pwm frequencies will generate more heat in the ESC. There must be more current draw.

We are shooting for mid to late december. I will keep all of you posted. We already have several team drivers winning with the VTX1 in 13.5 and 17.5 1/12th boosted classes and also in non-timing 17.5 touring car class.

Try using lower PWN in throttle, this will give it more punch. Also the novaks work better with certain rotors depending on the class your running. Do you know what rotor you have in the motor?

We are proud to announce a new firmware release after 6 months of testing. The latest new firmware A30 will have some new performance benchmark for drivers who demand the maximum performance on the tracks. The following were the updates on the version A30 from current factory firmware A19.

- New Radio Calibration Process. It will provide more precise and forgiving process with all radio systems in the market.
- Smart Brake System. We not only want you to run faster, but also to have better corner speed before the sweeper and in the infield. This refined Smart Brake System was proved to have better overall lap time during our testing. It is dynamic / proportional and 100% tunable for different track layouts.
- Additional Brake PWM Frequency options. It offers additional Brake PWM Frequency options down to 600Hz for stronger braking performance.
- Optimized Boost Performance. It was known to be Acceleration Boost Timing and Top Speed Timing on Viper VTX series ESC. The updated firmware that works with the most advanced on board MCU will give you a different feeling of the speed.
We will release the updated user manual and the A30 firmware on the web site this week. If you have Viepr PC-LINK, you could go download the document and firmware to update your VTX10/10R ESC. We also offer free firmware updating service for customers who do not have Viper PC-LINK. Please contact us at [email protected] for details.

Let me just say that A30 feels like an unfair advantage against non Viper users. Hope you guys like it like i did in testing.
