I do not have experience with THAT sirio or the STS, but you can't go wrong with a Novarossi. While parts are not always easy to find for Italian engines, many places carry nova stuff. It is a very good engine. Nothing wrong with the Mugen. I have an older sirio and I hate it. Can't say anything about the evo-2.

If your picking out of that list you would probably not want the MT12, even though it is a fats and reliable motor it is based on older technology. Can't go wrong wiht Nova's performance wise, even though they are expensive ( and seem to keep on increasing) and seem to last for shorter amounts of time. Nova Max's are very fast but are pretty damn expensive.

I use to have Novarossi RS12 and it lasts less than a year. Do you all get a new motor or rebuilt it. I feel like with all the parts to rebuilt you could get a new one with a little more money to it.

"best" is too broad in defining the rc engine per preference.

best speed: Italian $$$
best durability: Japanese $$
best bang for the buck: Taiwanese $
best engine you can control: Priceless

Novarossi RR12L5 without doubt the most low end power.

Cheers
