over heating!!!

Default over heating!!!

sup guys, does anyone have a problem with over heating motors? well i have lol. i have burnt up 4 motors and i have tried everything to fix it. any one want to help and i run a hpi rs4 rally.

-what kind of motors are you running in your rs4 rally?
-what is the inturnal gear ratio?
-and and are you gearing your motors at?
-and are you running on a track or just out bashin?

i have ran a stock and mod at the right pinion and everyting and changed my speed control twice. does it matter if the spur is to high or low?

and was the car going fast? like reasonably or very slow? did u check if it was the drive train thats causing all this?

super fast and what happens is the com over heats and melts off after 3 minutes from being normal temp.

2 were brand new and i used motor lube and cleaner and the other 2 were run like 10 runs so the brushes cant get bad that fast can they?

thats strange.....well i cant think of anytihng else....

but u said it was normal temp when comm melts.....so is it with the heat or not?

Does the Rally have an gearbox? or did you convert the car to rally?

its a 4wd rally belt and the motor sits in the mr.
