Tamiya TB-Evolution
hi,
For those ones who runs a TB-EVO. Do you guys have trouble with the start?
My Evo seems to have this huge traction at very beginning which makes the car stick to the road at very beginning. It starts slow but the top speed is amazing. But cuz the traction I keep getting slow start in a race. What you guys do to solve this problem???

maybe u could post your existing spur & pinion combo here? And what motor u are using?

I'm thinking it's my ESC that's causing this problem now....
Just not sure what went wrong in my ESC........ I followed the instruction meau again and again... still giving me the same problem....

I'm using 32pinion 88 spur with 23turns stock and 26pinion with 11turns mod. It might be also due to ur transmitter throttle high speed point as I had experience this problem before. Try to set it to maximum (it will state OFF if using Mars EX1). Good luck. Hope it works.

I saw on Tamiya site that they are releasing the TB-EVO II in Tokoyo hobby show soon.
WOO HOO~~~~ Can't wait to get my hands on one of the EVO II.... it gotta be tons better than Evo I I think.... EVO one is a great car but the suspension of the car can be improved.....
Now All I have to do is.... save up tons of money..... So I can afford a Evo II....... lol~

I think I finally understand why sometimes TBEVO's suspension develop slops over time.
The TRF speical damper in TBevo doesn't have the red bushing like all other TRF special damper that prevents air from getting in the seal. Over time the air gets into the damper becuase sometimes when you adjust the damper's height the top cap sometimes gets twisted open unintentionally. and sometimes the seal comes off with the cap. But when you screw the cap back on the air is already in there. The red bushing prevents that. But TBevo's dampers don't have the bushing that suppose to be there. That's my guess.
Dunno why they didn't inculded that red bushing. Maybe they just forgot????
