conical will have more power while non-conical will have better runtime...

Questions?? HP and RPMs?

Does anyone know how much HP and RPMs this bad boy pumps out? How does it compare w/ the Xenon Alpha?

The Clasico series is based on the old SC7 which is a basic engine with good performance. The RB Xenon Alpha was a topline model based on the Sirio engines and is the better choice if it goes about performance. With the Xenon you do need the right exhaust, the 2013 is most used.

Default Classico 10 Sleeve and piston

Is it possible to replace sleeve and piston on a Classico 10 for something similar or even more powerful than the original kit? I have a brand new Classico 10 with damaged sleeve from a bad brake-in and can't find repair kit anywhere.

would like to rebuild this engine to run on 4wd 1/8

It is novarossi based so someting like a Kangaroo P/S set will fit or else do a search to a C5 or C6 P/S set, only be aware the center pin to fix the sleeve is with Novarossi on the other side but a dremel can fix that.

But the performance is not only the sleeve, for the most part it comes from the crankshaft.

Hi Roelof, does it work if I put a 9 port PS instead of originally designed 7 port?.

It looks like a PS from RB Circuit 9 will fit and have the same bore and stroke (16.22 X 16.80). and I found the kit at reasonable price too.

Yes and no. First of all you do need a matching buttonhead as well because the 9 poort sleeve has a thicker upper edge (3mm instead of 2mm).
Last I fixed a 9 poort sleeve in a N21-5T basic engine but the sleeve was placed an half milimeter to high so I needed to modify the sleeve on my lathe to fix the right depth of the sleeve in the crankcase.

Again, the 9 poort set is an expensive investment if you can not get the full potential out of it with the original clasico crankshaft. Then it is better to get a 35-plus-21 enginge fo a few bucks more.

Thanks Roelof,

amainhobbies is giving away PSRB set for only 169 bucks! this is a great deal I guess, even looks wrong list price because only PSR for same engine is 379 !?!

The initial idea was not to modify the engine with more ports but when I see this price compared to the kangaroo's PS out there (better fit) or even original classico 10 PS (which I can't find anywhere) I think this would be the best mod for the money.

This weekend I will borrow a RB C10 PS from a bud in the track and check the fit.

I let you know the result.

Nice. For the 169 bucks you do not have a new engine.

The only thing you need to check is if the piston at BDC is on the same level as the edges of the side intake ports.
