You can't go wrong with the TC3. It's a fast car, easy to work on, and if you wanted to try racing down the road, you can do that to.

RC_ALAN: Man you are music to my ears. IF only more guys though like you and I. Seriously im 100% behind you on everything you have said..

I personally hate RTR cars. Its the easy way in sure but it leaves the newbie so uninnformed and really quite lost in some cases when something dont work. I see the RTRs leave my local hobby shop and so many come back with problems and no way to comunicate whats wrong because they dont know what any of the parts are called.

With that said if your gonna get a RTR i am behind the AE NTC3RTR Plus. Only AE makes all there models off of one platform. From racer to Factory team, joe newbie to PRO driver in the end the cars are 90% the same. Wich means affordable RTR sport kits that can and will perform nearly as good as the PRO versions.

One last thing about the 4TEC. YEars ago when they released the 4TEC PRO(fully hopped up car) i raced the car for a summer. There were no TC3s back then. But i did race it with rubber and then foams and the car did perform quite well. I do recall beating serpents at the time with it. TRaction rolling is not nessarily a cars problem but more of a tuners lack of tuning. Someone mentioned this in an earlier post. Most any car on the market can be raced if the time i put in on it. ITs just that some cars come better prepared then others..

Buying a RTR? Get the AE
Buying a KIT? Shop for what your local fast guys are racing.

Kyosho. They come in a kit with a GS.15 engine. Great 1st time car
& they go alright on the track. My kids both started with the v-one-s. One now drives an FW-05-R & the other a NTC3. If they hadnt started with the easier car they wouldnt be doing as well as they are now.

They have been replaced by V-One-S 2 or FWO5S. The 05S is upgradable to 05R specs. Both cars come with the same GS.15 engine as the V-One-S only with a bigger cooling head. The 05S is shaft drive the V-One-S 2 is belt drive.
