Tommy,

The upper arm position (front to back) does not dictate any geometry changes in the rear hubs, it should be shimmed just to match the lower arms. If you run the lower arms forward, the upper arm will be shimmed similar. As long as there is no bind in the upper arm, you should be in good shape.

I will have to review the sheet I put in the other tread to see if I have them backwards.

Bryan

I beleive it ia theory that started in offroad where there was much more suspension travel. I have tested it back to back a dozen times and can never tell the difference on the track or on a stopwatch?
Some people beleive it to be absolute fact so if it helps you psychologically I guess it makes sense to do it.

I bought my NT1 used and haven't ever messed with the front anti-roll bar and downstops as I wasn't sure how they related. When adjusting the downstops how do the downstop setscrews and the ecentrics in the front of the arms work together? And when do you use each one?

Lthompson37,

I'd recommend downloading the NT1 setup manual from the teamxray website, it outlines what and how to adjust the Dow stop screws, as well as the tweak eccentric on the front arm.

http://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/sho...p?file_id=3577

Downstops help with weight transfer, or limit can limit the transfer. The eccentric is for neutralizing any tweak on the front of the car left to right. Check out the setup book, it'll explain it better than I can, and it's free!

It has to do with the mechanical bind (even though it's very little) causing less efficiency and giving a bit more rear traction. In YBSLOW's defense, my personal opinion is that it's only noticeable in certain conditions. I agree that on many tracks even if you feel a slight difference you probably won't see much difference in lap times. But then, I haven't run on a whole lot of different nitro tracks...
