Do they ever plan to include aluminum shocks?

Maybe the plastic ones are perfectly fine if you can build them right, but speaking as an outsider who has never owned an xray, I think they look cheap while also looking overly complicated. Considering it is a rather expensive "luxury" car, I find it odd that the shocks are plastic.

Other than that, it looks like a really nice car.

All the "optimized" BS is quite retarded though.

15 "optimizations"

Changes look pretty minimal at first glance. New top deck, new steering, and lipo chassis.

A lot of guys think the same thing about the plastic shocks. While they are more difficult to build than say a Tamiya shock once you figure it out and get it down they are pretty easy to build. They are smooth and rarely have to be rebuilt ever. I think that weight consideration is another reason they have not went to alumn. Anytime you can reduce un-sprung weight you increase traction. Hence the "LW" Tamiya arms and the new Light weight TOP arms.

I think all the Factory guys have tried alumn shocks and have not noticed a difference. The only time I think that most have ran them is when it is extremely hot outside as they thought it may help with the heat.

XRAY hit a home run with this one. The steering servo down the middle was unexpected. The bad part is that everyone has to stock up on the servo savers. We haven't used one in 3 years.

Winter racing is going to be great.

All we have to do now is wait for RCknight to chime in and give us his blessing.

The antennae tube is now "optimized" by being centrally located.
