Do you know what was the most popular shell used there, Speed 6 or LTC-R ?

What shell do most people prefer on the T3'11 ?

I've got a pair of single hole rear uprights to try, to make rear link longer, any ideas what change in handling to expect in terms of ease of rotation, turn in, mid corner and exit steering?

They look more straight up and down to me, not at a angle, so possibly short but low. Maybe ?

Like the lock pin should be covering one of those top two locator holes.(I think?, have to check my car when i get home)

its in the rear of the car, its to get the rear not to roll as much, but its hard to say, if the lower arms are in a different position (lower to) it could be just a little less roll

Xray tests different grades of plastic all the time. I'm sure that they are trying to match the "stiffness" to the temp and track conditions. Trust me ALL the others do it as well, just because the mold is the same shape doesn't mean the plastic is the same.

Any tips on building the ECS shafts? The ECS that I got have the black pins. Seems completely straightforward but if you have some good tips please share.

Thank you in advance for taking the time.

The pins with the flat spots are the weak point. I've had better luck when I only lightly tighten the set screws. The trick is to use heat shrink to retain the pins should they slide ( due to the not very tight set screw ). You should also use loctite, as instructed, just don't tighten them as you normally would, very light pressure or you will be pre bending the pin before it gets any stress put on it from a crash.

An alternative to the heat shrink tubing is a product from RC TRIM, it is a vinyl wrap specifically for the xray ECS drive shafts.

p.s. another nice thing about the tubing or wraps is it also helps keeps the dirt out.

good luck

+ 1 on heat shrink

You can break a pin and not know it for sometime. If the shaft plunges in and out with the heat shrink on, one of the pins is broken.

Also if you have some Hudy graphite grease it seems the best lube for the ecs and cvds.
