I believe this is Teemu's.
Notice the different chassis and top deck from the other photo's of team Xray's. They are probably testing various parts.

Guys, I have just bought my T3 2011 having read all the details on the Xray site around the central positioning of the steering etc. I have built the car up and got all my electrics etc. fitted and am good to go... then I start reading here about the 90 degree steering mod.

Is the kit steering that bad or is this just a different feel like the dual crank steering is an option on the Mi4CX etc.

Do Xray plan to bring out a 'proper' mod or will this go in the 2012 along with the roll centre bulkheads etc.?

It just feels smoother. The ackerman characteristics remain the same, it just takes more throw from the servo to get a given amount of steering travel. It also allows for more electronics room. If you don't want to do the mod, it won't really make you slower for faster .

Korey answered your question well, but I will chime in and say that I would imagine the roll center bulkheads will remain "optional" parts on the future cars.

They should put all the new upgrades on the T3'12. I'll wait for it. Til then the T3 will do just fine. I'm sure it will come out half way into carpet season as always. It would be nice if they would release the cars before carpet season. oh well.

Default Exotech T3 '11 Chassis

Exotech T3 '11 Chassis looks awesome!

Was seriously thinking about selling my T3 to buy a T3 11 rather than pay for the conversion kit, this however has got me thinking!!

Do you ship to the UK?

Mark

I tried turning the servo but didn't like it, not sure why but it just felt more twitchy I've put it back to the standard setting. I does give you alot more room for electics, I think Xray's next chassis will have it turned though.

The only thing I miss about the 417 is the shocks, cost of spares and the color of the anodizing. On the carpet, the T3'11 has the feel I've been looking for.

Thanks Sir,

Actually I have an exclusive UK distributor that will ship to you or your favorite local shop.

Please contact here to get this chassis or anything else Exotek;
http://xfactoryrc.co.uk/

They should have it in stock later next week.

Thanks for your support!

It's pretty easy to put the TRF shocks on the T3, they smooth the car out too. The orange xray collar fits and looks pretty trick on the black TRF shocks too.

I also baulked at the cost of spares compared to the tamiya, but I haven't used any the whole time running the car so it's much cheaper to own

Anyone know where you can buy the Tamiya black shocks and are they a direct fit for the Xray springs or do you have to run the Tamiya springs?

T311 is a very impressive car, especially on carpet. Been getting fastest laps all over the place since I got mine a few weeks ago. Kit set up is utterly awesome. Its a real pleasure to drive.

On the anodising, Yeuccch. Had to be changed

Oh nooooO! Please don't change anything !! :-)
In black, the T3 looks gorgeous !
I'd even buy the kit twice the price if it could come in black ! Orange sucks so much... yeah ok, tastes and colors...
