We are running a small technical indoor track right now. The straight is maybe 35-40ft? faster laps are around 12 sec on this one.

Im running a FDR of 8.45-8.82 (78/24, 78/23 SC10). This is with a tekin RS running 40 deg boost and 1 tick of timing on the can. I think non boosted i was around the 8-8.1 range FDR.

Do the new batch of motors have a bevel at the bottom of the can, as in this picture?

No that was an old pic of the original prototype. They did not go with that for production unless its been changed since the snowbirds which I doubt since it would require complete resubmission to ROAR.

Has there been many problems with rotors spinning on the shaft? What I thought was a blown up gear diff at 'Birds turned out to be a rotor with only a few runs slipping.

I borrowed a rotor from my 17.5 to practice with the D3 13.5 last night. That is an angry, angry motor!

I have not heard of any slipping. I did see a few explode at the birds from guys using that Turnigy amp draw meter and free reving the motor too long. It only takes a second at full throttle to blow the rotor off the shaft.

Is it the motor I sent you? If so I can send you another rotor.

Yeah, it was in that 13.5. It happened on its first run, no free revving beforehand. I still won my race! No big deal, we can figure it out later. Maybe throw it in with my next order to keep shipping down or something.
