If you aren't over weight don't bother with Ti, just get aluminium for the top half of the car. It's pretty cheap to buy the take off ones, much cheaper than the full set of ti/al

I was wondering what will happen if you lower or higher the topdeck like 0.5mm or 2mm because from what i've seen most are using 1.5mm.

like the one seen on the blog from kentech and several pictures of the tamiya guys...

At this moment i am running with 1mm under my topdeck.

Raising and lowering the top deck will affect the flex characteristics. Something I will say is if you are going to start playing with that you will want to just make sure that you are not having the top deck hitting the belts on the car.

Are you using the standard top deck or the raceberry?

So in other words your bending your top deck? The raceberry kit comes with 1.5 mm shims to go under the top deck (this is to go with v5 bulkheads), the yokomo motor mount that screws into the top deck is 1.5 mm higher than where the top deck screws on the v5 bulkheads.
If you were not running raceberry, there is no reason or to shim up the top deck. Best to keep it as low as possible. The only other acception is the kentech mod which requires you to shim up the top deck so the motor bulkhead isnt secured down by the top deck.
