I got another question, what about a floating servo I know CSO racing has one but does it really make a big difference cause I know the 417v5 has it. Any opinions on the floating servo?

Has anyone had any success with low profile shock towers?

I notice the 416X isn't discontinued. Any reason why Tamiya have a 416X and 417X out?

I'm sure retailers are trying to get rid of old stock still.

I have a question on the 417x lower deck. Would the 2.5mm deck be better for outdoor racing or the regular one that comes with the kit. My apologies on the question I'm sure this was asked and answered befor I just can't find it. Thanks in advance.

In my opinion its more dependent on grip levels. Outdoor is usually lower grip than tq so id stay with the 2.25 deck and possibly lighter shock oil.

Is lighter shock oil used when the track temps are low or when the grip is low?

With RW Superlight spurs are you using the stock blue spur gear spacer or something wider?

Does anyone have a Panaracer/Xenon spur gear spacer that can measure the width? I want to confirm if its .75mm.

Running. Xenon/Panaracer spur with the stock blue spacer I think I get a tiny bit of wobble under braking that is stripping the spur.

I don't bother cleaning out my bearings, I just replace them when needed. If you want to clean them spray them with motor spray and then re-oil them.

Don't bother getting a floating servo mount unless its a Tamiya one with a v5 chassis, all the others move.

I had some good success with the 2.5mm chassis on asphalt, but it was track dependent. It actually gave the car more grip, but also more understeer. I think the V5 chassis is the best if you where after a new one.

Cheers,

Antoni
