Default O.S. 1050 Pipe

Question about the O.S. 1050 pipe -
The stinger length is very short, it doesn't even come close to coming out the side of the body. I trimmed alot around the pipe to try to free it up so the body doesn't restrict the exhaust, but I think it might still be affecting it.
Other nitros at my track don't have this problem and nobody knew what was up. Pipe is on a NT1 but I think no matter which car it's on, the stinger will be well short of coming out the side. I just feel like it is affecting the tune negatively. Plus the exhaust ate alot of paint since the stinger is so short.

rules have changed now, over here in OZ, our stingers arent allowed to protrude past the tire line from front to rear. so a short stinger has come about to still allow clearances from belts and alignment to headers. if it sticks outside the body, then its way past the wheels.

I didn't know about an optional exhaust wire, I'll have to check into that. Thanks.

It just seems like with the stinger not coming out far the exhaust is being restricted by the body.
