If Money isn't an issue then a NovaRossi +4, from PowerHouse mods would be Awesome.. Tons of power, great run time and long life.. And mark will take care of you..

I'm guessing that they are measured differently, much like horsepower ratings. They aren't all done the same way. Just like real cars your max horsepower doesn't come at max RPM but before then. When the engine winds out the power decreases slightly. The engine peaks and then trickles down in output. The practical range is basically telling you where the usable power is at. basically between 6,000 and 39,000 rpm the engine outputs usable power. Over or under this mark is useless because you have either not enough rpm for clutch engagement or the engine has already passed it's peak.

It's just like real race engines in any type of auto racing.

Go-Engines 3 port(GX3R) or if you want crazy bottom end and top end to burn you cant go wrong with the gx7r with a heavy clutch.

if you want all out power, has the grunt of a v8 and the top end of a v12,the mighty MMG66X. its more of a engine then the overpriced o.s speed

Just Broke in my GRP Tuned .21 and I couldn't be happier. The TQ motors are the same as the old GRP's aside from a few improvements and they're still under $300. Aside from a Clockworks B5/6 or a H.E.S. Novarossi +4/Toro Nero this is what I'm gonna go with.

I have not ran the F850 but I have the S852 and the Z852 and they both run awesome. Quality is great on the Alpha motors and they will last a long time, I have at least 5 gallons on my Z852 and it still hasn't been pinched. ( I pinch motors so I do mine quite often) I have had a F850 apart to do some measuring of the ports and it looks great.
Smart move buying from your local Hs, they probably have experience and can help you with break in, tuning etc.

Tough to go wrong with the O'Donnell SS and O'Donnell R2 pipe. Great package for under $300.

Of course I'm a bit biased, but I've tested this engine and run it hard, it's got a lot of low end punch and pulls hard thru the mid range into the top end. Very good all around engine.

im a grp guy so for my tq racing is nice. Also werks, dynamite, ALPHA all make good competition/club racing engines for great prices. Alpha would be ur best bet on a motor/pipe combo the price and the power is just unbeleavable and its a pretty engine that last a long time.
