There is a reason that parts for the TCX are hard to find, it's only been out a few weeks now. As for the TOP Photon there are other reasons. One is, the car's popularity is catching on and the manufacture needs the parts to build kits that are flying off the shelves. TOP USA has a full line of parts avaliable now.

Bang for the buck....... TOP Photon ...... hands down.

Besides that OD at TOP USA is top notch with service.

I would suggest the TCX is the FAR BETTER car for a number or reasons. It is a proven chassis on a variety of tracks and surfaces based on the previous chassis. Of all the Asian cars it has by a long way the best quality/durabilty, something tamiya still have not produced even with their price tag. HPI does have good parts support even if you have to order it on-line, and their chassis tend to evolve so even when they realease the next version parts will still be similar to what you have or even adapted to update your chassis.

But most importantly, the car works for the average driver. Its possible that you are a regular A-finalist at world leve events and can drive a TT-01 to a win like Marc, but if not you need to look at what is successful in the hands of the more average driver. From what I have seen the Photon or TC6 will understeer off the track and slide around all over the place in conditions the TCX will still turn fast laps in. If your regular track has very good grip then the AE can also provide good results with much better quality/durability than the photon.

Read up more on the TCX. Parts are interchangeable with the older version, so there aren't that many new specific ones.

Mike, I noticed from your signature "RCMadness". Since I plan to race there eventually, what do most people run for TC there? I don't think Chris stocks Photon parts or does he?

Xray/ Tamiya are the top dogs, then they go down from there. I'd own a TCX and TC6 if I could swing it .

Ok, my sig says what kit I prefer...

BUT, I would go with the popular kit at the track you intend to race. If what they use does not fit your preference, any kit you choose is very well supported on RCTech. Someone will help you here.

I love how guy chimed in with info on kits he never asked about It's like going to Chevy and being offered a ford. As far as cars go. Stick with something your LHS has and what are some of the fast guys running so you know who to go to should you need some help. Good luck bro
