How to dry wet inserts
Does anyone know what's the best way to get your wheels back in shape after a weekends rain racin'?
My wheels got soaking wet.
Are they useless now, or is there a way to revive them.
Ít's been 2 weeks know but the inserts are still quite wet.
Thanks allready,
Pizza

normally i squeeze them out and then bake them in my tyre warmers till they are dry , i wrap them in tissue to soak the water up
if you tape the holes in the wheel then you get less water in the wheels

I have no experience with this but if you think they are toast anyway, you might try the microwave. You could boil off the water in the foam while not overheating the plastic and rubber parts. As long as the pressure in the tires doesn't raise, the temp should not exceed 212 degrees farenheight. You may have to re-glue the tires though. Worth a try I guess.
If you take this thought process one step further, this might be a good way to un-glue worn out tires from good wheels. I may have to give this a try with an old set. Have to wait till the wife is out of the house of course.
