Default Come on people!!!! My car is torn down and I'd like to put it back together sometime!

I have a new brushless RTR SC10. One night I changed out for jconcepts on a clay track and my slipper became loose. Finished the race and tightened it up. Now it seems excessively tight and on a fresh set of tires last night it was slipping again. Do I need to sand down the clutch material or wipei it with alcohol or something to get some bite back in it? did I damage it and need a new one?

P.S. running a ball diff but everything feels great there.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!

Maybe its the tone of your subject line and your approach that is making people shy from helping you.

Don't know the answer to your question.

The nylon on the lock nut for adjustment goes bad. Either get a new nut or put some lock-tite on the threads.

I was thinking that may be the problem, but its already cranked super far down on the spring.

As for buying new clutch, if theres nothing wrong I dont want to buy a new one, or if its going to do it again, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the replies. Sorry if my title sounds cross, just want to put it back together tonight.

buy just a pad, if you have the nut tight and its slipping. its the pad. when i replaced my pad last on my sc10... there wasnt one and i had same problem as you. but i just looked at it. and there was little to no pad left.

Try flipping the pads to the other sides. That way you're on fresh material.

might be the diff that is slipping. you did say the slipper is cranked down tight. doesn't make sense that it's tight but is slipping....

btw, you can resurface a slipper pad with a razor blade or scotch brite pad

I'm thinking they got a "glaze" on them that night I kept running it loose to finish the main. That razor blade scotch bright pad is the kind of answer I was hoping to hear.

Switch over to the V2 clutch. Better spring with more presise adjustment.
