WoW, just wow.

Ok, I just came back a few months ago from a 6 year break from these toy cars and hit one of my old stomping grounds, SRS for a few nights of racing. On my second night there, my 2 week old charger crapped out. Keoni did not know me at all, although we chatted earlier in the day... When he found out I was having trouble, he made sure I had everything I needed to get my charger returned and replaced. I did NOT buy it from him. Thats not how a "tool" operates. (thank you Keoni and Humpty)

You sir, are an idiot.

the price went way up. its now $15 bux a race. for each car.. up from $10.
and to practice its $10..
they now have a fence around the area so you can't practice on nice sunday afternoon..
the new owner is a tool. he is very friendly while you are buying something, but the second you make your purchase, he leave you high and dry. Cuts off communication with you, and weasels his way into the back... this has happened on many occasions not only with me, but with others i observed. its like hes doing you a favor..
the wrist bands are a decend idea, which probably refects the cost increase of the races.. someones got to pay for the wrist bands...
just my rant...

Hey man, I could be an ass like normal but I'll refrain. NOTHING costs the same as it did 3 years ago. Not even a candy bar and oh yeah, RENT. I have nothing to do with the business end of SRS but I can tell you the rent cost went up for businesses too, not just housing. And to try and call Keoni out by saying he "weasels" into the back, not a good way to come back to the scene. Epecially since him, his staff, and lots and lots of locals have put in tons of work and time to make a fun track. And before he took ove that place it was in the shitter. And incase you can't tell by everybody telling you that your an idiot, Keoni is one of the coolest and most well known RC guys in the state. So you can sit back and whine because of 5 bucks or you can come back and have more fun than ever before.

And if you want someone to sit there and have a conversation with you while there are customers in the store then its obvious you have never owned or managed any type of retail business. So don't get your feelings hurt just because he didn't asls you about your day and how your car is running.

HAHAHAHAHAHA, I have one word for that poster...M O R O N.... I have raced at SRS since 95 (15 years) and with no disrepect to the previous owners Keoni is by far the most involved and has put more money back into the track than all the other owners put together. Now, if he would just get rid of short course...

Default To the Srs owner and crew

I Tommytommy and my dad sincerely feel that the prices to race and practice are a true bargain. We have never expeirenced anything but a positive attitude and energy from Keoni.Keoni goes above and beyond his responsibility as a track/store owner! The staff is never to busy to lend a helping hand or good advice.
sincerely Tommy and Paul Hinz

Thanks everyone for the kind words. We have had some great people own Scottsdale RC Speedway over the last 25 years and I truly feel privileged that I can be part of its long history in RC Racing. Not all agree with the changes I have made to our race program and facility and that’s ok… I’m just trying to do what I feel is necessary to keep RC and SRS around. So with all of that said THANKS AGAIN!!

Now get off the internet and go race!!

We got a lot of good racing going on this weekend with the KBRL series!! I hope weather plays nice but if it doesn’t we will do everything in our power to make this weekend happen!!

Friday-Practice 1-10pm
Saturday- KBRL Gates open at 10am and racing starts at 2pm

Thanks again!
Keoni

PS- Seriously get off the internet! Go wrench…glue tires….paint a body…balance your batteries…anything… yes LT go back to work!

Saying a track sucks or a facility sucks because there is a cost adjustment to stay open or it sucks because someone put a fence up to protect the race track blows me away. Costs of running the store and track is not the same as it was in 2007. Do you still pay the same for gas that you did in 2007? NO! Do you still pay the same amount for food? NO $10 to practice and $15 to race is less then a lot of other tracks charge and I guarantee our track is in near perfect condition every week. I know it’s a hard concept to grasp but it’s not free to build a race track. It’s not free to put power outside so guys can charge batteries. It’s not free to make sure the lights are on and the track is watered for racing. That guy that that announced your race…Yup you got it…Hes not free! What we charge for racing keeps the track open.. Period! This doesn’t pay for our rebuilds! YES when people want a new track layout it’s not free. I have done many track changes and all have been out of my pocket and all have costs a min of $2k. So next time you go to a race track SRS, Fear Farm, CH, Hobbytown USA, Canyon Vista, Padocks, The Nitro Pit, ET look around and see what your getting for your money and make sure you go up to the owner and thank him or her for giving you a place to play!

Sincerely the “tool” that purchased SRS so you could play!
That DUDE is FUCKIN IDIOT....Yes i Said it... Bill Koch Tells me all the time that Tracks in CALI... That there club night Fees are... 15 to practice and 25 per class to race... so what is RcRacer01 BITCHIN ABOUT.... We have THEE PREMIER FACILITY to race on EVER RACE NIGHT and PRACTICE ON... its Not BILLY BOB'S HOBBY WORLD & TRACK..... its " SRS " Home of the Badest RC race period... " CACTUS CLASSIC " so rcracer01 pull ur Dress up when u PEE sitting down... and Shut ur trap and Race... If Keoni Felt the Need to raise Prices to keep the doors open.. than thats what he HAD TO DO...... i think any SRS Racer would agree that without KEONI there probably wouldnt be a SRS any more....

Was way more than willing to help answer everything I had to ask him....even if it was the same question 2 or three times...
