Default ROAR rules

Just read on speedtechrc.com that the JP MT-12 is now legal because of recent rule changes. What are the new rules? Is a modified crankshaft legal?

The ROAR website doesn't have anything on this.

My understanding is that the 2002 book is the most current. Could you enlighten us on the new engine rules. Ie turbo plugs, mods, etc?

As I understood it when I was in Austin, TX a few weeks ago, you can work on the crank slightly. Mike Queller lives in Austin and he explained some of the changes for the new year. More or less, the race director still has final say but, it sounds like you can polish, surface, smooth, radius, etc. your crank as long as you don't increase the bore or length of the intake port in the crank. I am not 100% on this since I moved, started a new job, and had my mother undergo surgery since then so, check with Mr. Queller to be sure. Hope this helps you guys.

What no side or rear window cooling??
and what does 5.5 above the jet do its below the jet that counts. Cripes.
and 4 mm makes every single engine being produced illegal.
And TC3's have 14 mm stingers beyond the pipe and 1 mm inside so those are illegal too
A tire diameter minimum?? how stupid

No point in running this class anymore. Its just to much of a hassle.

hey my rtu was 5.5 above the jet last year( not that i disagree) but they were trying to fail those that were not.... mine was good though thanks .
the side windows and rear can be cut out... it is listed in with all the gas garbage too hard to pull out of context and more than i wanted to write... but it is okay to cut your side and all of your rear window out.

tire diameter rule has always been there and i am not even sure it changed... width was modified, use to have a larger width allowed...... on tire not rim

robert has taken the blame on the exust port gt.... on sgrid... he is going to recheck how he measueres may be more there than in the actuall ht???... hope it is fixed,,, otherwise we all are going to be pushing our cars...... teathered nats

never saw a stinger length checked????? but i would guess.. not sure what it use to be stinger length is also unchanged...old rule...fyi

they actually failed me at first and i stood there having a fit, there dummy guage hit the spray bar.... but it was made so that if it roattated it was good??? anyways after a long discussion they passed, and i know the guys you are referring too and he sayed he did know.........

by the way thanks for making such a great product ... i see alot of people who are afraid to let people see it is a rtu( grind the head or polish it) becuse they do not want any greif in tech... i just put er out there and say it is legal.... go ahead and check..... and that was the first time i ever got challenged... and they were using there tools incorrectly......

hey roar has officially posted the rules on there website...

Guess now the question is whether or not Yokomo will change the 32mm tires to 30mm. Ellegi, mugen, etc don't fit
