I run a 4.5 and can use full throttle on at least 2 infields sections, plus the straight. I run at Speedworld.

The LRP TC Spec Version 2 might be an option as well. Although I have not yet tried it with a 17.5 motor. But it works great in modified.

I am running the LRP SXX TC Spec V1, are you saying the new v2 will have "ramping"?

The Speed Passion 2.0 is pretty capable in both mod and stock.

I need to do some more tuning but right now my SP 2.0 with the 528 firmware is exactly the same speed as the local hot-shot Tekins in 17.5 and I haven't messed with the settings or gearing much yet. I think it might end up having a little more rip than the Tekin and slightly lower top end, but it holds its own. I have been running Tekin since v203 first came out but I wanted to try the SP to see how it compared.

Our Kinetic 2S is rated 3.5 and above---both mod and spec. It also features our new Sportsman mode for ROAR's new non-timing esc class.

It will adjust like the SXX Stock Spec with independent feel and boost settings.

Sorry to high jack the thread but, why is the Tekin RS Pro not capable of running modified?

Because it thermals... you even thermal it running a 7T if you start using dynamic timing.

It thermals when using anything lower than a 7 turn motor or, it thermals when using anything lower than a 7 turn motor when dynamic timing is engaged?

Took my 4.5t motor for a run after my stock race, using 528_Stock software with turbo (#12) turned off and having turbo kick in set at a late value, motor and esc were not reaching high temperatures.

+1

Is the Tekin able to run mod (5.5T) with no timing without thermaling?
