a kit or RTR or what?

kit wise your only new truggy choice is a D8T.

other wise you'll have to buy used. post on the for sale/trade/want topic that you want a truggy for 300, you may can get a good used one. or do like i did when i started and go on ebay. i got a full race buggy for about 350 and won quite a few races with that buggy and engine and all.

check out this truggy I have for sale about half way down the page on this link. http://www.rctech.net/forum/florida-...ml#post7479776

You will have parts to keep your running for a long long time. Plus Mugen parts fit on it. A competitive truggy.

i run a losi truggy and, i would say if you want a kit thats around $300 than get the hb d8 truggy.
now yes you can buy a used truggy, that has nice stuff on it depending on who you buy it from .

i bought my eight 1.0 t used, from a racer and i had to rebuild a lot of things on it and for all the money i spent i could of got a 2.0 t.

There's no way to go cheep with a truggy. Buy two sets of tires and wheels and you won't be paying your I-phone bill this month.

Is this $300 for "everything".

People are suggesting you buy trash. Dont do it. You will regret not having support for these trucks. If you are looking for the best deal, Its probably going to cost you around 700-800 to get race ready. HB D8T is around 350 as a kit, you still need everything else. If not the Losi 8T 2.0 RTR is the best deal out.

Ive heard the OFNA Mutilator can be a good racer, but make sure you buy the new version with a C-hub suspension
