TT-01 to TT-01E
hello. I own a TT-01ES XBS.
It is new (i think).
I want to change it to a TT-01E or a TT-01D (whichever is easier or cheaper)
I know the first change is the chassis, but what else am i supposed to change? This chassis wont freaking accept my Traxxas VXL System. Its too fat.
Please help me! Thnx in Adv. NRT

you can check out here - http://www.tamiyausa.com/articles/fe...article-id=415 - its an article on Tamiya USA about the differences in the 2 chassis
from what I understand, most (if not all) of the enhancements are in the suspension - the chassis is the same across all the 'versions' of the TT01 platform...you'll probably have to get 'creative' when you mount that speedo...doesn't seem like it was purely designed to fit within a tub chassis'ed touring car
so you might wanna read the article and see what the real differences are
plus you can check out here - http://www.tamiya.com/english/rc/manuals.htm - to download a copy of a tamiya manual for both the 'standard' tt01 and the tt01e chassis and see part numbers and whatnot for what you are trying to do...

If you have the sport xb (I assume that is what you mean by TT-01 "ES") it already is a TT01E. You don't need to convert it at all. Just add the necessary hop ups. If you want to put a lot of power you are going to NEED the 54026 Aluminum propeller shaft. Some nice additional hop ups would be the 53571 TRF shocks, and the 54025 TT01E ball bearing set and the 53665 Spur gears which are the speed tuned gears. The only difference between the TT-01D and DE are that all the drift cars come with the adjustable upper arms, oil shocks, full ball bearings, a motor heat sink, drift tires and the Sport Tuned motor.

thank you for all that helped, it says that it is a stramelined version of that chasiss. If it is a tt-01E, then why call it the TT-01 ES and make it so much cheaper?
