That said I gotta figure out CGM or SSG lol? Both look identical from the pictures I've seen apart from the chassis anyway so I'll probably just toss a coin on the day.

Why don't you voice your concerns to your LHS? Perhaps if explained to them that you weren't going to purchase "kit x" from them because it doesn't come with tires, they might be willing to toss in a set to seal the deal.
You'd be surprised what the LHS's will do - they know that you could very easily go to a mailorder house, and they'll often give a little to keep your business.

You're talking about a full-on race kit - the reasons that tires included have already been repeatedly expressed, so I won't express them again. I just think you're excluding an excellent car over a seemingly trivial point.
Yeah, you might get a set of tires with the purchase of a Ferrari, but you can be sure that a [race] team who purchases a Ferrari chasis for competitive purposes doesn't give a hoot about what tires are on it at the time of purchase.

Well, I can't tell you, since I don't own a Yok.
However, I was referring to the screws that hold the differential together (and set diff tension.)

The CGM is a good choice, the kit I've seen here looks good(I'd buy one )
Re. Diff screws snapping...the same thing was supposed to happen on the MR4 TC/SP and I never did it(running modified). The guys here at the time just put some black diff grease under the head of the bolt and that minimised breakages.
I doubt this will be an issue at anytime running a 540 motor.

As for breakages, the graphite parts included with the CGM ar much stronger than the standard plastic ones. No more kingpin losses or broken front/C hubs. Even the wishbones are much tougher, and yokomo is releasing new stronger wishbones (more material).
The only very weak point of the yoke IMO are the wheel bearings : they have too small balls which gets square very quickly.

The seals have been broken on the box by now and 1/2 the parts bags have been opened in their search for these Non-included items.
When all they had to do is READ the side of the box to see what items are included or not.
BTW: I have personally done this with software/hardware for my PC, but I leave everything sealed until I am 100% sure it will work for my application.
