You could also partially drill a larger hole in the A Arm, that will free up the droop screw, but be warned an oops here could cost u , but keep in mind it will loosen up over time

I always use a small bit of AE diff lube on the screws. No problems then.

You can also pre-tap with a good steel screw, apply silicon or chapstick to droop screw before installing.

Wanted to run 48/90 on my TC6 but they are out of 90's

Can I use a 88 with say 47 pinion? Does anyone use that small a spur in TC 17.5 blinky?

What is the spur used in binky at the snowbirds or usually 64 pitch?

96 is the spur of choice for 17.5 blinky. 96/51 is a 3.76, which is the same as your 90/48

I run 100 with 48-50 running a Revtech, since I never go taller than a 4.0 with our track size. XRAYs 96 works like a charm!

I am on small carpet track soon to be on large asphalt track

Right now I am at 48/100 with revtech motor with timing fully towards +

The motor barely gets warm and I could use some top end so I'm gonna try 51/96 next time to work the motor more

Running at Norcal right? I've tried a few ratios on the asphalt track and have found 4.09 works for me. I use a Team Powers motor with the timing on 3 (about 3/4 way +)....... every motor is different, though.

Yes Norcal, I think with my 48/100 it is about 4.00 and the motor barely gets warm and it could be faster on straight

I mean with the gearing I had it wasn't terrible slow but I think I was just under the average speed. I'm guessing outdoor I'll have to gear up some also

My math puts you at 4.17. Try coming up a tooth on the pinion (4.08). That will probably make a big difference.

90/45 is what Bob and I ran at the birds. The smaller pinion allowed the car to "spool up" faster.

Some motors come out of the turn really hard, so running the largest spur/pinion combo can make it feel a tad smoother. I usually just run Associated's 100 for club racing cuz it's cheap and wide..... not unlike some women I've known.......
