was racing yesterday and noticed my servo saver keeps loosening on me. I haven't tried anything yet, because I want to fix it the right way first.

my guess would be set it where I want the tension screw and put blue loc0tite on it (which I have)

any other ideas or suggestions?

i know this is a stupid question but do you have the steering rack set in the grooves on the chassis?....if not then thats why your steering saver is coming loose!

Most guys at my track run the servo saver locked out with red loctite. I'm not quite that brave with my $140 servo. I run 2.25 turns out from all the way tight with loctite. I seem to get full turn and if i catch a pipe i think the saver will kick in.

please explain what you mean? You mean literally all the way torque tightened all the way down til u cant turn it no more, then back off 2.25 turns??

And is this for a Losi 8ight buggy?

It's for the 8ight t 2.0. I would assume its the same for buggy. I take the whole steering mechanism out and tighten with spring on all the way down til i can't turn it anymore. Then i back it out 2.25 turns. The latest manual says 2.5 turns out. Don't forget some loctite.

I read somewhere where the 2.0 servo savers weren't as good as the 1.0 ones, has anybody else heard this??

the 1.0 is what I have.

And if its the opposite, if the 2.0 saver is better, then I will order the 2.0 saver

Full proof way is to over tighten slightly then "Spike" the threads with a small straight blade screw driver. Then back the nut down to spec and you will be good to go. You can still get it apart this way too.

what Losi drivers told me and from what i saw, the 8ight 2.0 spring is a bit too hard and the 8ight 1.0 springs is very soft.

you will need the the servo saver assembly from a 8ight T 1.0, the springs is just perfect.

i use other method to tighten the spring, i take it all the way out and put some blue locktite and thread it back in leaving a 1.5mm distance from bottom of assembly to bottom of adjusting ring. works perfect with zero issues from day one to 10+ gallons and up till now.

The original 2.0 saver didn't have as much "give" in the keyed pieces. I dont have a camera, but you could see how angled the keyed pieces were in comparison to the 1.0 parts. The "updated" 2.0 servo saver is actually the 1.0 plastics. If you buy part losa4441 (aluminum servo saver arm) and it fits, then you know you have the "right" servo saver. In any case, having that aluminum arm is a must have.
