If you want to be more creative then got for the Mugen, Associated HPI etc. The catch with those cars is the shock towers and body mounts.

Ok, thanks.

I assume you are starting with 1/10 off road cars/trucks. Is this correct ?

The Mugen is 1/8, I had a MBX5 some time ago,

Starting point is an 1/8 scale off road buggy for GT8. For GT8 Lite they're converting short coarse off road trucks such as the slash.

OH, OK.

That's where my confusion comes from. The GT8 is based on 1/8th buggies and the lite is on the 1/10 trucks.

Guess I just need to know where for get any conversion parts I might need.

thanks

There's STRC which has a great conversion for the traxxas slash 4x4 and there's SNRgraphite.com that may be able to package you a conversion for the Jammin SCRT.
For other shortcourse trucks and if you're up for the challenge, u can mod and fabricate the body mounts, reengineer the suspension to get lower cg, stiffen up the suspension, and add stabilizer bars if u want it handle well! Check out the GT8 lite thread too!

Had a good time in Corona as well - it has been six months + for me.

I should have my GT8 car running by HB - I tried to get it going yesterday, but my solder station stopped working

Hey Callahan! Is there GT8 electric racing in your part of the world in Sweden? If so what's the name of the track?

Nope there are no racing series for the GT8 class in sweden at all not even Nitro ones.
But we have local races att our track.
We are a bunch of ten drivers who races the Kyosho GT2 at the local track.
Five of them is electric and five nitros.
I know that there are some moore drivers in Sweden who drive an GT8 car.
And im trying to get my local club to host an racing event for this class next summer.

Later today i will test my car for the first time!
Just need to get some sleep first.

Hi Callahan,

Not sure if you have run both, but do you have a preference as to which (nitro/electric) you like to race with? Great that you have a dedicated group of guys to race with out there. Do you guys race nitro's with the electrics? If so, what advantages/disadvantages have you observed with them?

Your build has come along great. Good luck with it.
