That is the Celica. Have also tried the 350z. Sounds like they all have the same wheelbase?

If you are running 0 degrees of rear toe it will hold the wheels a little farther back than if you run 2.5 or 3 degrees of rear toe. That could be the 2-3mm of wheelbase that you are looking at.

Associated must use a longer wheel base than HPI because I've always found my TC3s to be longer than the HPI cut outs, especially when running less rear toe in and even after spacing the rear hub carriers all the way forward. I usually align the front wheels properly to the wheel wells and then make a custom cut out for the back. The original cut out line shows a little but not very noticeable once its painted.

The USVTA Nats was a great event. USGT had 30 entries I believe and some close racing. The A Main was 15 minutes long and Josh Hohnstein running a Hotbodies Cyclone put the smackdown on everyone in attendance.

There were a number of people who follow this thread in attendance. Good times. Hopefully someone took some pic or vids of the racing.

For those wondering.........here are the results.

No blown motors or speedos from racing

Battman is once again a bridesmaid with a TQ and got to watch RJ's rear bumper in GT

Quote of the weekend "guess I can't make 20 minutes with a 3800 " Rob King

Thunder Power USA has a winner of a tire in the market for the sister class of USGT.

Thank You once again to everyone who made the trip. Team Novak,Battery Giant Racing,RadioPost,HPI

Thanks Eric for putting on this race!!!

The Thunder Power Tires were great....I hope to see them around more often going forward!!

Yeah Josh had his new purple car working great and he drove just as good as ever...congrats to him on being the new National Champ and takin home the "strap" for this year......The main was great with lots of close racing just wish my bumper would have stayed together longer then it did damn the luck.

For the price and performance those Thunder Power tires rocked. I don't think there was any drop off over the course of the day. I think Jimmy and Josh both ran their fastest laps during the 15 minute main. I want to try them outside.

Its a USGT tire....he was talking about USGT being the sister class to VTA. They are a treaded tire on a 6 spoke rim and they worked great on carpet. The tire is being brought in by Thunder Power and its made by Ride from what I have been told. You can see the tires on Rides website.

Yeah Jimmy I think had the fastest lap in Qualifying by just a smidge over Josh. In the main just about everyone went faster over the run and I had the fastest lap before FAILURE took hold...there were 3 of us with 9.2s and a bunch of guys with 9.3s..the tires were just as good as the competion. They ran great all day and I think would still be good for another 2 or 3 days...we ran 3 8min quals and 15min main with little wear showing on the tires...not to mention all the practice on Friday as well.

I ran a lot of practice on Friday and all day Sat and like others have mentioned noticed very little wear. The best thing is they didn't seem to pick up as much "stuff" from the track compared to the vintage tires. Cleaning them up from the previous race was a breeze! Only thing kinda weird was a very small ring of glaze (buildup) on the inside of each of the tires. I think everyone pitting around me had the same thing happen. Other than that they were great.... and that is very minor. Hope they work on the home track as well!!

This is my sons new usgt body. This is his fourth body that he has painted and only the second one he did 100% by himself. Everything was done with tamiya rattle cans and masking tape. No airbrushing. Please comment.
