What is your track like and how long are your races? Short straight and tight turns or like mine tracks long straights (~160+ft) and open flowing turns. We run 12 minute mains in USGT. Makes a difference on what is "the Best" if there is such a thing. Two weeks ago we had 10 cars in USGT and at least 7 of them had different motor brands and all 10 had best laps within 1 second of each other on the mid 16 second tack layout.

I still think motors can be just the luck of the draw and brand doesn't matter. Yes you can play with rotors etc. but I have a used old Thinder Power that I started with was $50. I've consistently set fast lap with it every week on a track that changes weekly. Always looking for more, I've tried a D3.5 (was slower). A speed passion (also slower). Last week I tried the new D4 but came new with a bad sensor board. All fixed now so we'll see what comes this week. But I'll carry the old TP that smells like it's burning up even tho it's only 150* to throw back in if needed.

PS the speed passion motor has different timing chips, which one did you use?

Ok so I just got my tires broken in and one of them some how gets cut across the carcass from left to right. Ive put a couple layers of ca glue on it. It will be sometime before I run them again. Do you guys think that the glue will hold? Or do I need to break in a new set? Really dont want to have to do that.

I hate to tell you this but I would start breaking in a new set. The tire deflects under load and the CA will cause that small area to be harder then the rest of the tire. It will cause a "bump" in the tire. Similar to the dreaded flat spot from locking up the brakes but in the opposite direction.

Motor
Still can't decide on a motor. I need an all around cuz my track changes every race, sometimes tight and technical, other times fast with long straight. I've narrowed it down to the Orca TX, Team Powers ACTINIUM and the Trinity D3.5 21.5 Turn ROAR Spec Certified Handbuilt Motor.
