USGT is 21.5...I used to run 4.0 in 17.5, and at the Nats I ran 4.0 with 21.5...it seemed really fast...some even thought it was 17.5..lol

Divide the large pulley by the small pulley (39 ÷ 18) to give you 2.167 for the internal drivetrain ratio. Your gear ratio with a 87 spur and a 53 pinion is 1.642. Multiply both of those for your final FDR which would be 3.558.

we ran our 1st USGT race this past weekend...it was alot of fun and I believe its a keeper for our VTA guys looking for a 2nd class to run other than TC...we have around 7 running with more joining(trying) it soon...

VTA is still tops, but this is a really good class to stay with the VTA theme and upgrade on speed ...

thanks USVTA...

also we are mostly going to be running the Dynamite and Xpatterns...any word on going with one tire from the USVTA?

I'd like to add a little to the tire debate going on here:

the Ofna X-pattern tires... yes OFNA
anyone tried those?

List price says 9.95 per pair with inserts so actual price should be lower...

just remembered that those tires come with the ofna JL10e kit, I have seen them in person and look nice but never had a chance to race them.

the part number is 87660

let me know if any of you find them at a good price, would like to try them out

tested some Dynamites tonight...ran these

http://www.dynamiterc.com/Products/D...ProdID=DYN7962

and these

http://www.dynamiterc.com/Products/D...ProdID=DYN7963

i used sxt 3.0 for traction...and the tires hooked up just as good as my xpatterns.....

i really like this tire....it handles great....just looking to see how long it holds up....will it last a weekend or a season?...with 21.5, we hoping a season...

One says it's 2mm offset and the other 10mm

did you find the 10mm a good fit when using 200mm bodies?

Looks like the USGT bug is spreading, Nitro TC style. These pics were taken from the Dutch 1/10 Nats:
