Default Calcium Ligno Sulfate????

We have our new track 95% done but we are a little short on clay and it's a little dusty and slippery. What I was thinking of doing, and wanted to get your advice on, was to spray the track down with calcium ligno sulfate. The calcium is normally used by the county to spray down gravel and dirt roads for dust control and to slow the formation of mud. Has anyone ever tried this on a track and if so, how well did it work for you??

I'm not sure about the "lingo sulfate" part, expecially the "lingo."

I have seen calcium cloride sprayed on clay tracks to both hold down the dust and improve traction. It works OK.

Mostly, around here, we just water the track. The clay has enough traction all by itselt.

Indoor tracks like Planet and CRCRC can use topsoil, which is clay with organic material in it. Due to being indoors, there's no sun or wind on the track, and watering the night before usually results in a wonderful high-traction surface today. It doesn't get a "blue groove" like many high-abrasion surfaces do, but some say the traction, and racing, is better.

You have to use what's available in your area, and do the best you can.
