Ofna OB4 Nitro Racers!
Hey guys,
I just thought that no forum is complete without its own Ofna OB4 thread... I'll get us started here... How can I stop my car from spinning out when I accerate moderatly while turning? I'm running 10k silicon grease in the rear diff and HPI red prolinear springs. I was thinking about purchasing ball diffs and running them very loose. Would that work?? Here are some pictures of my car:

Im not sure what kind of diffs the car has stock, but if you can, loosen the rear a bit more than the front and see what that does...Nice car BTW

Ofna Power Clutch for OB4 Nitro???
Hey All
Do any of you guys run this. I was told it was like a Centax clutch and adjustments are better than the stock clutch(No springs to bend).

WeatherB check your rear toe in. The Ob4 manual says 2.5 to 3 degrees of rear toe.
You dont need a toe in gauge if you have camber gauge. Stand the OB4 on its tail then set the gauge for 2.5 degrees negative camber. Adjust your pivot balls to match the gauge. While you are at it drop the car on a counter or sumtin and set it up:
Neg 1 degree front camber
" 1.5 " rear "
That should get you started.
Yes the Ofna power clutch is very similar to a centax.

Anybody see the New OB4???
Hey All
Have any of you seen the New OB4,its supposed to have a different clutch and the 2 speed is mounted on the other side.

The Version 2 kit has the belt option: 2 sets of shafts to put the belt on the left or right. And the 2spd is now a clutch type.

Is there an upgrade to the older version for this, can I just use the New 2-speed with my old setup???
Are there any other changes, like laying down the steering servo and battery for lower weight center???

I dont know the particulars of Ver.2. I think the belt option, & clutch 2spd, were the only changes. The new 2 spd is available too.

Any of you, using the Front One-way for the OB4??? Is there anything else I'll need to run this??? The Ofna WebSite just shows the One-Way, and nothing else.

Ball diff for the rear & the one way for the front. And very little in the way of brakes. LOL.

Have you guys seen the Cross brace 'tween the upper deck & the rear bulkheads?

I got some more pictures of the car now... Foger, I got a serpent camber gauge a while ago, and the camper and toe should be setup correctly now. As for the porting, I don't recomment you try it, unless you don't mind purchasing a new engine incase you mess up the colt 12... Look below for more pictures of my car, my tool box, and the learjet I made in Grade 7 tech class... It got me a 90% in that class...
