how is it going compaq? I do not own a OS tr, however I do own a CV-R and I have come to find that the cv-r has good low end power but lacks the top end. I have also read thouht some of the post in other threads, and others have mentioned that the Tr has the same probelms, it is better orientated for small to medium size tracks.
thanks Jason

I have also heard that the TR lacks in the high end department. But it's fuel economy is a lot better than novarossi and RB and etc., is that true?
I've been hearing that a new version of the TR is coming out, is this just rumors or for real?

They say it is allready beeing sold in Europe and it has same lots of torque and now same top end as most italian engines, but with reliability and fuel economy as traditional OS engines.

i see that it uses lots of silicon on it's piston, which is bad for reliability, but since the pistons are good for 5-7 gallons then i think it might last.
I know the regular TR costs $130 and the turbo version $160. Any guess on the price of this new TR R-Spec Competition Engine??

More Silicon longer life of engine, more silicon more stable geometry, more silicon better expention rate-everything is more-only one thing is realy difficult-to put more Silicon to Al alloy and have piston not bridal ( too much silicon piston brake so easy). A lot of developments was done to find right alloy with great ammount of SI and keep very strong.
BTW, OS pistons doesn't contain that much Silicone as others.

i'm just saying too much silicon is bad. I know it reduces weight and makes the engine have less friction but it makes the piston weak.

I would love to have 32 % but at this point i just have 27%
We have Al alloy with 32% Si, but it has other properties which doesn't suit to our needs, so for now we stay with 27%

Is it true it's allready being sold in Europe???
