The TILTYARD, Dayton Virginia
Who here knows of or remembers what the TILTYARD once was and what it could be again today? The host of a ROAR Offroad Nationals, numerous VA state series races, RC Pro races, and some of the best and most challenging club races. I attended a race last weekend at "The Yard" and to my surprise there was only a handful of racers One of the nicest tracks on the east coast has no racers showing up! I do understand that this is a dissmal time, especially in the r/c world but without racers, no track will survive. Homer offers 1/8 and short course on the regular and will run additional classes if at least 4-5 show up. If you live in VA, PA, MD, WV, this is a must attend track. The jumps are huge, the layout is exceptional, and the environment is laid back and stress-free! Check them out at www.tiltyard.com for events, forums, directions, vids and pics. The guys that do race there on the regular are super nice and are pretty fast. If you think you have what it takes, GET TILTED!!!

kshred,
SC is open mod right now. Homer does allow 1/8 buggy wheels and tires but if you choose to use these, you are not allowed on the podium. The RC Pro series here in Va. is having it's final round/championship at the Tiltyard August 21-22. Classes will be 1/8 Nitro and Electric Buggy, 1/8 Nitro Truggy, Spec SC and Mod SC. They had their first races of the series down at RC Pro is Glouster this past weekend with a pretty good turnout. Va. fast guy Curtis Woodyard won the 1/8 truggy A. There is a thread either here or in the racing forum about the series.
