ultimate sells them for $145 shipped.. it's nothing personal, but i am tired of seeing folks try to gouge, or maybe take advantage of folks.. ask anybody about the ultimatehobbies.com price. sorry you took itas a personally attack as i certainly don't mean it that way..

Cool
Thats cool with me. So I could have saved a few bucks.
Anyway. That is an outstanding price for the SB shipped. As far as gouging goes....people need to be informed consumers....if you are looking on the net at an item, just surf to a few sites and check out the retail price. I never understood why people will pay more then retail for something on Ebay?
Anyway
Does the Pro version have items on it that are not available as hop ups for the sport or is it just the hop ups are included in the retail price all in one box?

I think the current crop of SB Sports don't have the revised steering arms which are stiffer.
I would like to see the aluminum hingepin mounts on the kit, but I am not sure if they will put them in there.
I contacted Tim and hope to get word tommorrow on what officially it will come with.

Well, if these are the final specs for the SB-Pro. I'm a bit dissapointed
Why?
- Carbon Chassis parts:
- expensive, just add "bling bling" factor... a glass fibre chassis together with an extended top deck (as discussed a few pages before) is at least as stiff as the 3-piece carbon chassis.
- Turnbuckles, dampers....
- to be honest - who doesn't have them already? Sure, the PRO Dampers look interesting, but these are "accessoires" almost everybody has different brands & favourites of (Associated TBs, Losi shocks...)
- machined motor mount
why? Just using the machined cam or doing the mods discussed a few pages back, will get you into no trouble with "just" the cast-alloy one (which may dissipate the heat better btw ) so aganin bling bling
The only things, that make the SB-Pro interesting to me are
- the steering arms (yay!)
- Slipper
- and perhaps the UJs all around
Why does Academy not include the suspension parts of their velox buggy?
- the steering knuckles / rear hubs with the large bearings will make them last much longer (talking from my experience, the small 10c5mm bearing close to the wheel always goes first for me, the larger 15x10 survives at least 2-3 small bearings.
- why not make a solid one piece top deck (as some here already run) and use the steering rack of the STR based nitro cars? Makes the chassis much stiffer, sparing expensive carbon parts and the manufacuring of new arms that would fit into the current setup.
- a workover of the gearboxes would also be nice, the fit - compared to 1/8th buggies' gearboxes is just poor (pinion gear bearings get compressed, whereas the diff bearings have ~ 1mm play in their place.

like i said before, it's fine, as long as it's not more than about $220..... i just want to get it "all in one box" rather than buy a stripped car and have to make a million changes to it to get it to work. i had just about given up on it and bought a used xxx-4 g+ cause i was tired of waiting and of hearing all the problems..

My Diff hubs didn't wear at all - they're a very darkish colour (almost black) and seem to be the WT-24 that I mentioned above.
- They came with the kit I bought in the beginning of June
... driving on grass with a brushless (approx 13 turn power on 6 cells but much more torque) may at least show some signs of wear after 30+ packs if my hubs were faulty.

HELP!! Can't figure out what size the bearings are inside the diffs...I am having a hell of a time finding the right size bearings for this. Getting a little frustrated...
